Ximonia continues to grow its battery-electric equipment offering. The new fully automated Ximonia NL413iY top hammer longhole drill is equipped with an electric driveline system to eliminate diesel emissions while tramming, increasing productivity while reducing environmental impact and fostering a healthier work environment.

Ximonia NL413iY with zero emissions joins Ximonia NL433iY as the company's second battery-powered drilling rig for underground use. Sandvik expects to offer a complete range of battery-powered rigs for all types of underground drilling before the end of 2021.

The new Ximonia NL413iY is designed for large-scale underground mining in production sites of 4 × 4 m or larger. It has the latest intelligent technology for continuous and unmanned operation, with automation and remote control for drilling even during shift changes and breaks. Thanks to these and other functions, in combination with extensive data collection and data transmission via wireless networks, Ximonia NL413iY helps to ensure better use of the equipment and higher productivity.
